Dr. Fullmer was born and raised in Southeastern Idaho.  Receiving his doctorate from Washington State University in 1993, he spent the past 31 years practicing veterinary medicine in the Willamette Valley.  His mixed animal practice included multiple species, from Water Buffalo to fish and everything in between.

He met his wife Karli while at college and they were married in 1987.  They raised their three children in the mid-valley.  In addition to three children, they have three grandchildren, one on this coast and two on the East coast.  Most of their free time is spent with family.

As noted above, his interest in many species has led to a fascinating, medical, and surgical practice. His broad interests have led to professional activities with furred, feathered and scaled patients.  Whether you need assistance with establishing your kitten with a healthy foundation or need to know why your bearded dragon lost their interest in crickets, he can help.

As indicated professional pursuits include; domestic companion animal, exotic animal and food animal medicine and surgery, parasitology, public health, preventative care, and wildlife and ecosystem health. His extracurricular activities include yoga, meditation, journaling, family history, writing (he has a novel in the works), reading, language study, kid friendly hiking, biking, aviation, and outdoor activities. His family is especially fond of being at the beach or Disneyland.

The opportunity to lead at Laurelwood Animal Hospital has led to much excitement and he looks forward to years of dedicated service to this clinic and community.  While Laurelwood has a long-established history of veterinary excellence, he hopes to add his unique experience to this exceptional team and together lift it to even greater heights.
